1. The Artiste 2023′ is purely an online singing contest to hone your undiscovered talent; Get groomed by experts towards better intonation, performance, creativity & discovering your inner Kalakaar in the process.
2. There is no location or age restriction. Aspiring singers from any part of the world can take part in this online event. You will be clubbed into different age groups. Contestants will however be asked to provide proof of age during registration
3. Songs from multiple Indian languages are allowed in "Indian Playback Genre". In "Indian Classical genre", you are allowed to do Carnatic or Hindustani. In Western genre, you are allowed vocals in English. It is mandatory to use a backing track or karaoke or instrumental track for your live ONLINE performance in "Indian Playback" and "Western Vocals" categories.
4. A medley of songs is not recommended in your performance. You have to limit to 1 song only per performance. If you have questions, reach out to us [email protected]
5. Repertoire or Genre of the song is solely upto the contestant. But choose one that showcases your talent, is age appropriate, and choose a song that highlights your singing ability
6. Only paid registered participants are allowed to take part in the online contest
7. Registration fees are non-refundable & non-transferable

9. For Semi-finals and finals, stay within the timeframe of max of 5 minutes for Indian Classical & max of 3 minutes 30 seconds minutes for Indian Playback & Western Vocals.
10. For Semi-finals & Finals - Soprano/Altos/Tenors: Indian Classical Genre: Only one Krithi/Bhajan to be performed for Carnatic, Only one Bandish to be performed for Hindustani music. A minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes for Indian Classical. Accompaniments - Tanpura/Drone/Shruthi box (mandatory). However no Live accompanists allowed. Use of Tabla machine/claps allowed for Hindustani. No restriction on composer/Raag/Taal
11. All registered contestants will be going straight to the Semi-finals, followed by the finals. You will also get complimentary group vocal workshops based on your registered category well before semi-final performance. Additionally, you can sign up for 1-on-1 vocal grooming session before your semi-final live online performance in front of the JURY members.
12. “The Artiste" has the full authoritative power to use “WILDCARD” to move deserving contestant(s) forward at any stage of the competition
13. No mixing or sound enhancement is allowed through any kind of soundboard, in the live sessions. No effects (like reverb/echo/chorus etc.) should be used. As closely as possible, it needs to be as if the judges were in the room listening to you perform live. You must sing live on the video. Be aware that if your video entry sounds as if you have added reverb or enhanced the sound in any way, even if this is not the case, the judges will question and possibly disqualify your entry.
14. Every video should have the contestant intro with announcement "Hi, this is _______________ and you are watching me live on the Artiste Season-3. Find the Art in your Heart" (Make the sign of the heart in the last sentence) (Introduce the name of your song as well | Also, Audio-Video should be recorded live | No lipsyncing | Your introduction and singing should be done in the same take | Otherwise Jury will DISQUALIFY you)
15. Video file upload needs to be labeled "ART[Your ART ID] SongName [Your Name] [Your Category] - The Artiste 2022 Pitch-1 Season 3 | (for example: ART1001 "DIL SE" "Vikram Seth" WESTERN GENRE - The Artiste 2022 Pitch-1 SEASON-3)
16. Singers are required to sing their selections from memory. It is unprofessional for the artist to sing off a piece of paper sitting in your hand or reading off a computer screen
